Community Assistance Fund

Maitland City Bowls Sports and Recreation Club have in 2011-12 has established the Maitland City Bowls Sports and Recreation Club Community Assistance Fund.

This fund is a new and exciting donation stream established by the Club over and above ClubGRANTS to make a meaningful impact on a Community or Sporting organisation each year. In combination with ClubGRANTS direct donations by Maitland City Bowls Sports and Recreation Club will exceed $185,000 in 2011-2012.

The fund has $50,000 available for distribution. It is envisaged that the entire amount will likely go to one or two organisations so that a significant impact can be made their objectives and a meaningful change occur in people’s lives.

Applications must be in a written format and include a cover letter and completed application form. Community and or Sporting groups are welcomed to apply by fulfilling the following criteria contained in the application form.

The basis of the following will need to be fulfilled;

1. The organisation must be Not For Profit.

2. The organisation must directly affect the Local Government Area of Maitland.

3. The application must be able to document the use for the money and how the outcome will be measureable.

An assessment committee has been formed from Maitland City Bowls Sports and Recreation Club with the result to be published in early 2012. The successful applicant(s) will be required to attend a small award ceremony to receive the cheque. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by mail.
